What Is A.I. REALLY ~ It's Not What You Think It Is!

Daniel Kovacs

Artificial intelligence is NOT “real” intelligence, it is the perception of a form of “intellect.” In reality so-called “A.I.” is exactly that – artificial, i.e. an imitation of natural intelligence, but more accurately it is an imitation of human logical reasoning, which in and of itself is not intelligence as intelligence is much more than just logical reasoning.

Predictive typing, auto-correction, etc. can all be classified as so-called “artificial intelligence,” but in reality they are just mathematical logic operations utilizing statistics and probabilities. Just as the very first electronic calculator could be perceived as “doing” simple mathematics like adding 1 and 1 to display the result of 2 on a liquid crystal display, modern computers use the same technology and mathematical logic operations with the only difference being that they can do many millions more of these operations per second now.

Transistors, the main electronic component of a central processing unit (the “brain” of a computer) are literally tiny electronic switches that can switch between a “on” and a “off” state with the application of a high or a low electric voltage. Combinations of these “on” and “off” states can then be used as mathematical logic functions. For a more in-depth explanation, many resources on Boolean algebra and electronic logic gates (the fundamental building blocks of computer systems) are available.

The fact of the matter is that computational machines and artificial intelligence are human inventions and that there is no real need for it to exist, just like there is no real need for any of mans inventions to exist. They only exist for the sake of convenience or for the egotistical desire to control and to manipulate that which already exists. They usually end up entrapping humanity in one way or another.
